The Cowboy and the Lady

Bill and Sandra McGee
A Cowboy and the Lady Couple

In spite of their different backgrounds – Bill, a Montana cowboy-turned broadcaster-turned author, and Sandra, a Valley girl – they have been a successful writing team for 20 years, each bringing their own points of view and style to the writers’ room.

Bill:  “To anyone who has ever considered writing, there is only one way – ass in seat.”

Sandra: The strongest drive is neither love nor hate; it is the urge to edit another’s copy.”

The Cowboy

Bill McGee was born and raised a cowboy in Montana. When he left cowboying in the 1950s, he pursued a career in the entertainment industry, where he enjoyed 32-years in broadcast sales and marketing. His writing career has spanned six decades and he’s written 22 books, each in his signature writing style described as spare, straightforward, and “as precise and economical as a Mickey Spillane novel.” (Marine Corps League Magazine) More about Bill

The Lady

Sandra McGee’s writing career began in the 1990s as a publicist for the performing arts. In 2000, she teamed up with Bill for The Divorce Seekers: A Photo Memoir of a Nevada Dude Wrangler. Their research and writing styles complemented one another and they went on to co-author six more books. More about Sandra
